What Do You Think About The Car? contains upbeat indie tracks which often have slightly sadder meanings to them as well as a few slower songs with the same meanings all of which covering important topics such as trans suicide, police brutality and xenophobia. Movements are the perfect band if youre looking for an emo band that`s not Brand New.ĥ) What Do You Think About The Car? – Declan MckennaĮarlier this year, I had Declan Mckenna suggested to me and after listening to one song, i was in love. Feel something is a perfectly crafted emo album with songs covering topics such as a alzheimers. Although if I hadn`t heard multiple singles from the album live, I probably wouldn`t have the same opinion on it as I do now.Īfter thoroughly enjoying their EP, Outgrown Things, I couldnt wait for new music from Movements. Last Young Renegade shows aspects of older All Time Low releases while also showing experimentation with new sounds, providing a very strong album overall. The fan repose to After Laughter was over-whelmingly positive despite how different it is to previous records such as RIOT! Despite this, songs such as hard times, fake happy and rose coloured boy still contain the “emo” lyrical content that makes up older releases. Hearing this album live influenced my decision to rank Humanz at 9.Īfter Laughter is Paramore`s most pop influenced/sounding album to date.
many songs on this record also include references to politics.
Overall, Humanz is very heavily influenced by rap/hip hop with rappers featuring on a large variety of tracks. I personally think the different sound makes Gossip stand out from the bands older records, making it an enjoyable record overall.Īfter a 7 year long break, Gorillaz come back with a very strong album. Sleeping With Sirens` most recent album Gossip shows the band exploring a completely different sound to previous releases while still being fairly similar to Madness resulting in a mixed response from fans with some enjoying a new sound where as some others being incredibly disappointed with the album.
